Fun in the Sun

We had a great time with Kate's family in Gulf Shores a few weeks ago. Lots of laughs and lots of fun as always. With the exception of a little tropical storm that brought rain and cloudiness the last couple days, it was a picture perfect vacation.

Norah found her legs this vacation. Her favorite activity wasn't the beach or the pool...it was walking up and down the boardwalk meeting new friends.

Below Kate and Emily react to the news that Mizzou's quarterback had a great scrimmage back in Columbia...

Norah wasn't a big fan of the sand until I buried myself...then it became a big hit.

The 5 to 1 adult/kid ratio was a huge blessing. Grandma Mary spent a lot of time taking care of Norah., or said another may Norah spent a lot of time going through Grandma Mary's purse. Here they just finished putting everything back into the purse.

Norah loved the water and the waves.

Good family photo...Rob picked up his new hat in Memphis on the way down. He got a lot of mistaken Jason Miraz sightings on the beach but he took them in stride. Sometimes you just have to sign a few fake autographs...

Norah enjoyed her watering can that Grandma & Grandpa got her. Everyone else enjoyed walking down to the water to fill it up quite frequently.

I took this picture of a kite flying...we really had a great time. Everything you want in a vacation in terms of relaxation, fun, laughter, good weather, memories, and enjoying God's creation. It was a picture perfect week!

Summer Days

Norah loves to take good care of her baby doll and she gives her lots of kisses. I think she's imitating me :)

Reading the Sunday morning comics

She found some good ones.

Norah's first busted lip

Here are some photos of Norah's first busted lip. We were at the park and as soon as she saw the playground she attempted to run toward it, but wiped out on the concrete. Ouch! Her lip bled a little bit and within minutes, her top lip was so swollen. This girl is tough as nails and she only cried for a few seconds. She looked so different, I couldn't help but giggle about it when we got home. She kept touching her lip lightly and was probably thinking, "what is going on with my lip?"

Lake fun

We went to Beaver Lake with the Tessmers over 4th of July Weekend. The kids loved the boat and swimming in the lake.
